I'm Thea, an artist and writer with an interest in character design, storytelling, and worldbuilding. I enjoy using creativity as a means of bringing my ideas to life, especially within the realms of fantasy and sci-fi.

My alias is Krythea, or Thea for short. I grew up in Scotland and still live there now with my fiancé. I pursue both art and writing as hobbies and they are activities I have actively engaged with since childhood. Whether back on Neopets or on DeviantART during its prime, I have been driven to keep creating throughout my life. I have always been encouraged and inspired by seeing other artists follow the path I wanted to tread and I have continued to strive to become as skilled as them. I have a great love of fiction, with fantasy and sci-fi being my preferred genres to work within; sci-fantasy is my favourite for allowing me to explore elements of both and is what I explore most often.A tie to emotions and a smaller scope is something I want to maintain throughout my work, partly as a reflection of just how personal all of it is to me. What I create is an exploration of characters, relationships, emotions, or just ideas or visions that I resonate with. Art and writing are a way for me to explore my ideas and bring them to life: I want to imbue my worlds and stories with a sense of plausibility and sincerity and perhaps even inspire other people. I want to share whatever my own brand of creativity is, distilled from all my inspirations and experiences and to say to the world "I exist, and this is what matters to me."I have kept working on older characters and ideas throughout my life, even when I've experimented with newer ones on the side. Some of my oldest work originated when I was young, just iterated upon over the years into a more modern form. Ghosts of Auriga is my oldest project; its story and its characters are the closest to me and I still work on them today, even if they look very different from their original incarnations. I do have other worlds and characters I have been working on over the years, but this project has a special place in my heart after staying with me throughout so much of my creative journey.
